Wine Advocate #165 (Jun 2006) Robert Parker 88 points Drink 2006-2009
The 2003 Valpolicella Classico, a blend of 80% Corvina, 10% Rondinella, and 10% Sangiovese, aged in both tank and large oak ovals, exhibits spicy, earthy, black cherry characteristics interwoven with chocolate and nutty characteristics. Medium-bodied with deep fruit, soft tannin, and decent acidity, it should be drunk over the next 2-3 years.
